Bukowski & Sexton Eye Care has been caring for the South Shore since 2000. Dr. Ted Bukowski and Dr. Alexandra Sexton see patients of all ages for routine, medical and contact lens care, and fit you with eyewear you'll love — all in one friendly office on Broadway in Raynham.

Three ways we look after your eyes.

Comprehensive eye exams

A yearly exam is an important part of your overall health and wellness. We check for conditions such as dry eye, cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration, and your eyes are usually dilated.

Dilation takes 15–20 minutes to work and lasts about 3–4 hours.
Plan for at least 1 hour, bring sunglasses, and bring a driver if you're nervous.
New patients: bring previous glasses or contacts, prescriptions and a current medication list.
Glasses prescriptions are valid for up to 2 years.

Advanced diagnostics, billed to your medical insurance:

Visual fields
OCT imaging
Scleral depression, pachymetry and gonioscopy

Contact lens assessments

We fit soft disposable and rigid gas permeable lenses and teach you insertion, removal and care. Contact lenses need a separate prescription that expires after 1 year, and there's no minimum or maximum age for wearing them.

Vision plans often don't fully cover the contact lens assessment, so some costs may be out of pocket.

Office policies: patients more than 15 minutes late may need to reschedule. Cancelling less than 24 hours ahead (by phone) is a $25 fee; a missed confirmed appointment is $50.

Ted F. Bukowski, OD

President & owner

Adjunct assistant professor at the New England College of Optometry with over three decades of practice. Treats eye injuries and infections, manages cataracts, glaucoma and corneal, vitreous and retinal conditions, co-manages surgical cases with local eye surgeons, and offers a phone line for off-hours emergencies.

Alexandra Sexton, OD

Vice president & junior partner

A Rhode Island native who studied at Providence College and the New England College of Optometry. Enjoys seeing patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, with a holistic, patient-centered approach. Outside work she dances, reads, writes, travels and makes resin art.

Sandy Rocha

Office manager & optometric technician

A 30-year eye care veteran who has been with the practice since it opened in 2000. Handles insurance billing, payroll and contact lens ordering, and performs pretesting, specialty testing and contact lens training.

Melissa Kearney

Patient care coordinator & technician

With the practice since 2000, Melissa is the first person you meet when you arrive. She loves the outdoors and time with family.

Nancy

Optometric technician

Handles pretesting, contact lens training and administrative tasks. Nancy worked at the practice in its early years, returned in 2018, and has over 25 years of experience greeting patients.
